Non-League Day: Chelsea's Levi Colwill Champions Sholing FC and Grassroots Football

As Non-League Day approaches this Saturday, March 22, Adrian Kajumba highlights the inspiring journey of Chelsea defender Levi Colwill and his unwavering support for his local club, Sholing FC.
While Colwill has never donned a non-league jersey, his heart has always been with Sholing, where he cultivated a deep-rooted affection thanks to his family ties—his four uncles, Barry, Byron, Daniel Mason, and Marvin McLean, have all left their mark on the club's legacy.
At just 11 years old, Colwill's dream of playing at Wembley was ignited when he served as a mascot during Sholing’s FA Vase Final victory in 2014—a dream he has since realized on international stages.
Last summer, he solidified his commitment to Sholing FC by accepting the role of associate director, a position he long aspired to. Through the LSC [Levi Samuels Colwill] Project, he has launched the LSC Academy and is funding free training sessions to empower local youth.
With initiatives like sponsoring first-team shirts, funding a new 3G pitch, and opening a new stand, Colwill is not just a supporter but a vital part of the grassroots movement, proving that football is much more than a game—it's a community.
